Supratha Somanathan X 'A'

THE VANISHING NATURE

I was going alone in a field,

thinking about the harvest and yield.

Nowadays I can’t see the sand;

where we played with fond.

The grass was so green as never,

I worry that; I miss it for ever.

Pastures and land so pretty,

would not be seen after years fifty.

The rivers so cool and fast,

don’t know where it went past

The air too cool and clean,

where it could be seen?

The flowers gave smell so sweet

now without smell and colour; who will greet?

Animals: Elephant, deer and lions,

will soon be extinct from us fine.

Even the laughs and smiles;

of all the humans went far miles

Oh God! give me back my nature,

I will care it well for future.
